E-bike tuning for Bosch Gen4 motor with Smart System
SpeedBox 1.1 for Bosch is a tuning chip that removes the speed limiter on your e-bike. With this chip you can ride faster and enjoy the full potential of your Bosch motor.
If you want to see correct speed and full riding data while riding, we recommend SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning for Bosch. Real values will be displayed in the SpeedBox App directly on your phone.
How does SpeedBox 1.1 for Bosch work?
After installation, activate the chip via your e-bike’s control unit. Use the WALK assist function (short press of the “-” button). The display will show 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph) and assistance will be unlocked up to 35 km/h. You can set your own speed limit up to 99 km/h, but we recommend not exceeding 35 km/h to minimize the risk of error codes.
To deactivate, press the WALK assist function again. The display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the limiter resets to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then work just like before installation.
If your e-bike doesn’t have WALK assist enabled, you can activate/deactivate tuning by pressing the buttons in this order: - + - +.
You can also adjust the maximum speed limit by switching assistance modes in sequence: TURBO → eMTB → TOUR+ → ECO → TOUR+ → eMTB → TURBO. The current limit will appear on the display and is saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.
Important instructions
- Activate or deactivate tuning only when the e-bike is stationary, never while riding.
- Connect male and female connectors in the direction of the lock – do not rotate.
- After finishing your ride, wait until the display shows 0.0 km/h before switching off the bike.
- Do not remove the display until the countdown process is finished.
Assembly
SpeedBox products use original connectors, which makes installation simple and safe. Detailed manuals and installation videos are available. Disassembly is just as easy.
If installing on a brand-new e-bike, ride at least 10 km before activating the tuning.
